The photograms and paperworks are inspired by historical photographs of international trading floors. What is abstract in the sense of Marx – the quality behind the notes – appears objectively on the floor.

Die Ausstellung zeigt zweihundertsiebenundsiebzig Scherben. Die Scherben von Tassen, Tellern und kleinen Schüsseln – einmal als materielle Fundstücke in Vitrinen versammelt, dann als einzelne Fotografien ihrer Böden, sodass die aufgedruckte Marke sichtbar bleibt, bildhaft archiviert – stehen sinnbildlich im Zentrum der Arbeit als Verquickung von Geschichte, Zerstörung und Ausgeschlossensein.

Austria – Two places in Norway aroused my curiosity: Herdla and Skjolden. Skjolden right at the innermost end of Sognafjorden – Ludwig Wittgenstein had had a cabin built there on the fjord at the beginning of the 20th century, in a remote inaccessible spot.
